EPDM coating

I am prepping my roof for recoating. I am wondering if where the front and back caps meet the roof, the old caulk is cracked. I know I should remove as much as possible but do I recaulk and the coat or coat and then caulk? Any info would be appreciated.Click image for larger version

I'd use a hair dryer (heat gun is too hot) to loosen the caulk and scrape it off with a plastic scraper. Use acetone to clean up any residue. You can then use Dicor self-leveling caulk and then use EternaBond tape to cover the seam. Then apply EDPM coat to the roof. No need to put EDPM sealer over the EternaBond or caulk.

Go to YouTube and enter:

"Dicor my EDPM Roof" Watch out for acetone on your roof.

I have been looking at re-doing my fiberglass one and Dicor has a product for all of them.

RVArmour is another one but it is around $4,000. depending on the length of your roof and comes with a lifetime guarantee.

Good luck
