Fleetwood Coronado '94

We just bought a like new 94 coronado chevy 3 weeks ago, and took it for it's first weekend this week.

Everything is in such good condition, it's absurd someone kept it this well. I laughed when we first walked in and I saw that iconic blue with green/pink cushions for the dining area and futon. They look like they are brand new, as well as all the cabinetry which is still original.

I just contacted fleetwood's customer service to get ahold of the plumbing diagram and wiring schematics.

The only issues we have, is there is a leak in the "T" fitting that is profuse, all 3 connections on it spray water at an alarming rate as soon as any water pressure is introduced via the pump or city connection. So we had to go without running water for the weekend, which we made it, but was a little bit of a bummer with 5 kids lol. It appears that this was not winterized appropriately. I have a feeling the seller just dumped a little pink antifreeze into the toiled for show, and never actually put antifreeze into the system. As wheb I was de-winterizi g the unit, i saw 0 pink water, and was imidiately met with the bleach solution i put in.

The automatic entry stairs are stuck. I could not figure out how to release them manually either, but I did not try very hard.

And the table, it was fine initially, but the kids and wife managed to pull the bracket off the wall a little bit trying to force it. i imagine this is braket the table is just meant to rest on, is attached to the wall with a backplate, and that if this is damaged, we may not be able to reattach the bracket.

We are very new to RVs, so I was figuring it out as I went.

I don't know if anyone has any advice on this, given its age and our length seems non existant in media. I only see a shorter models in videos. I was trying to find out what size the fittings are for the bypass valve and the 3 way intersection fitting to get those to repair that this week. If anyone knows what might be the standard there that would be great.

I failed to take any pics with the vehicle in frame, so I will add that as I update my journey here.

Considering the age of your RV, you will have gray polybutylene.

This tubing was used extensively in residential and RV construction and until sometime in the mid to late 1990’s. There were lawsuits for failed polybutylene, which eventually lead to our modern blue and red tubing.

Understanding you have a very well cared for RV, congratulations on your find. I would strongly consider repiping the coach.

Red and blue PEX (PEX type B) can be had at retailers like Home Depot. The advantage to using this product is that it is a crimp system, requiring less tools. Verses PEX A that requires a tool which expands the tubing before inserting the fitting.

T fitting...where? At the pump?

Post a pic of it.

As for re-piping I'd recommend shark fittings as well.
