Generator fuse blowing

I have an Onan 4000 MicroQuiet generator in my 1998 Bounder Class A motor home, and recently it started blowing the 5 amp fuse during startup and a few times right after startup when running. If I replace the 5 amp with a 7.5 amp fuse, it starts and runs just fine. What might be the problem? I already replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter about 100 hours ago, so I’m not sure what the cause or the fix might be. I love oh k forward to some insight into solving this issue. Thanks.

If it's blowing you have a short somewhere. Check all the wiring. Clean the positive cable and negative cables and re-tighten them.
