Is the 60’ max RV Length going to be any issue?
Yes we will exceed the 60'. We are pulling our trailer and would like to have at least a 70'+ pull through. I can leave the trailer hooked up and load and unload the motorcycles.

Took a second look and agree with your evaluation.

Gordon and Ron,
See post #740 on page 53 and the answer on post#745 on page 54 for the answer about the level and pull through and length.

I knew that.

OK, I take my reservations about Custer Crazy Horse RV Park back.

Gordon and Ron,
Only reason that I remembered, was because I had brought up the unlevel in the pics and that Lynne had checked for me. I had to go back and research the actual post #'s.

Two more parks to consider,

1. Happy Holiday Resort, Black Hills, SD - RV Park, Campground, Motel & Cabins

2. https://www.beaverlakecampground.net/

Rail!

Happy Holiday looks good if we could get a block in the spacious parking area photograph. Unfortunately the photo does not show much shade. It also appears the sites are fairly short.

Was reading a review on one of the places that Stan mentioned here and it said WiFi at park was either poor or non-existant and that is not an issue with me but I do need internet access. That review also said cell reception was very poor and that is where I get my internet connection (Verizon). So I guess that means that would be another requirement (strong want) for what I need in a campground.

Hello M&G,

Spearfish CG is closed for the season and will not be taking reservations until May 1st. It is not a large CG and if this is the choice, I cannot guarantee we can all get in. I had not realized they would close reservations so I apologize for that.

Ron, these places tend to be out a bit and the reception can be touchy from what I understand. Not sure we can meet the need. I do have a phone booster that you could use because I also intend to use it if necessary and I have Verizon.

Rail, checked out Happy Holiday and it runs $60. per night during that time with the discounts. Beaver Lake was one of the choices I listed. It looks like a good choice.

That being said, here are the choices and please vote and I will contact the CG that is chosen and let them know we are going to be reserving.

Make sure if your info from the M&G flyer has changed that you get those changes to me so I can send them the correct information.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Beaver Lake CG 605-673-2464
12005 US HWY 16
Custer, SD 57730 Cindy
Level, several pull throughs and they appear quite long
They have sites 72 & 73 that are 70 ft and 48 / 49 / 50 that are 90 feet.

30 amp is $48, and 50 amp is also available. Looks nice and shaded is most spots and they can get us together.
---------------------------------------

Rafter J Bar Ranch CG
Hill City, Custer

These sites are large and roomy. They cannot guarantee we would be together and the price is in the $60.'s per night.

50 AMP $42
30 AMP $ 40

Rush No More CG

30 AMP $39.99
50 AMP $44.99

I removed Black Hills RV because they could not get us together.
Custer Crazy Horse because they had extra wood to help level.

-----------------------------------
Please remember these prices are 2017 prices. I await your choices.

Thank you, Lynne

Good AT&T or Verizon signal is a must for Martha and her business as it probably is for Ted. Thanks for that reminder. But, we can struggle through by going to a restaurant, library, coffee shop so we'll be ok with most any choice as long as they are level

We are going to vote for Chris. Price is right, we are close to a great road to ride with access to all of the attractions and close to town so there should be great telephone if the free internet is lousy.

Coach and trailer, 70 feet, 50 amp full hookup.

We MUST be as close or closer than Carter Caves.

We have stayed there several times in the past and it was not too bad. We were popup camping with the motorcycles.
