Curtis, I know how Melissa feels about the Chemo!
2019 I did 6 months of Chemo, then flew halfway around the world, and then did our M&G in Maine! I had no idea that I could not do that, I always could before, so, a little Chemo was not going to stop me! Wow, I also had no idea how long the Chemo would stay with me! It has now been 2 years, since I swore I would not do Chemo again! And in all honesty now, I would probably do it again! I would not have said that a year ago!
Just saying, give her some time!
You two are in my prayers, and I believe everything will work out! Rail!

Sailor take warning.....
OK RonJH , guess I didn't look . But in my defense , I did work till late and then slept on the floor, I usually jump up but it was more of a climb today.still woke up late too. 5am !

Curtis
The waiting is the hardest part..
It seems this is what making it to this age is so frequently about .
And we all get to play , if we make it this far , I remember plenty that didn't (Sometimes I wonder how it was even possible I'm this old ?)
BUT We always cheer for our team !
The wheels are finally turnin' keep 'er on the track....you have so far.
This stuff just helps us appreciate the things we take for granted.

Harv
I played THAT game too.
My surgeon is awesome !

Be thankful for what you have. We are all going to die. It is easier to be the first to go because you have no grieving. Be thankful that you get to spend time with your loved ones Every day counts. It is incredibly difficult to lose a spouse. There was no warning when I lost Becky. Almost 40 years married. 5 years today. Be thankful.

Good Evening Gang,
Thoughts and prayers to all that need.

Finally a little light 5 min shower, still 192* but that is a lot cooler than it has been. Car port is due August 10th. Then we will decide to travel for a couple months or just stay. Rita and I have been walking just shy of 2 miles every morning at 5am, before the sun comes up. We miss everyone and can't wait for you all to get back down here.

That's all from the desert southwest for now,
Frank

Glad the temps cooled down to only 192°. I know y'all are ready for some shade. So far here every day this month has been below normal. Normal is 97°. Next trip out for us is end of August to Garner State Park. We should be in Yuma by middle of October. Unless we need to meet someone somewhere on the way. Miss you guys and looking forward to another season in Yuma.

Coffee taste very good this morning. 55° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 84° with lots of sunshine. Got house water filters changed yesterday. Did some sump pump repairs while at doing filter change. Bracket that supports float had rusted off. Made a new one and installed. Neighbors surprise birthday party went very well. Party continues today. Wife's birthday is today. I will be joining them for the celebration. No other plans for the day.
Little turkeys are growing.

Curtis, special prayers for Melissa and you.

Frank, 192° is only 1 key away from 102°. How could it matter?

Popeye, sleep late on the floor can mess up your whole day.

RonS, You said it best.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

Good morning all!!

I am up early this morning, couldn't sleep. 76*, 50% chance of rain today,,, sky is pitch balack at 5am!

Frank, I thought he meant 92*,,,,, then said no way. Must be 102*. Glad you are only a few weeks from the canopy being built. Bet that will be nice.

RonS, I can only imagiine your loss. We are scheduled for Yuma November 15th.

Curtis, prayers headed you and Melissa's way! Hope she gets a second wind and fights it.

Now that I am in my chair, with the lights on and my tablet fired up, can't stop yawning. Maybe I will try for a little more sleep?

Thanks for the props folks. I know several of you have walked this path before us. Maybe that's why I find myself spilling my guts here.

I'm a fighter. Have been all my life. I was a middle child and my brothers were constantly picking on me. So giving up is not in my nature. I don't know how!

The worst part is this waiting is destroying our relationship. Arguing over nothing. Luckily for me she has a strong girlfriend support network to go stay busy with. So we aren't in each others face all day.

And honestly, if you look at her you'd never know she is sick. Other than she tires easy, she's blowing and going. Dr's say that's a good thing though. Her activity level will give her the physical strength to fight this. But her mental strength has me worried. Against the wind is my life, not hers.

Well gotta get some sleep before we head off to Church this morning and answer the same questions a dozen times.

Well good morning ya'll.

That stuff sure can wear ya down. The arguments just sound like frustration (probably mostly with the waiting) . I know the thought of going through it all again must suck too...but that alternative , as RonS said , isn't acceptable ! Keep that rig on track....
We're ALL pullin' for ya!

RonJH
Surrounded by little turkeys ,,,,
I feel that way sometimes too !

Woke up BEFORE 4 today ! heavy rain beating up my roof , but it wasn't leaking so went back to sleep till 5:30 !

Still raining now and for the rest of the day but it "should" turn to showers in the PM.....
Gonna test out the Grundens just for grins.
And yes , I have enough room in here now to cut up 2x , doesn't mean I will though skuh kuh kuh kuh kuh kuh.

I was going to do that yesterday without the rain but had a bunch of jobs throw themselves in the way before I could start...anybody need a couple of bags of old red shag carpet , it comes with a billion $taples ???? and how about some nice delaminated plywood ? It's got pretty plastic woodgrain ...You KNOW you want that !

Yes Ron , that is correct . They call them stern man.....

The cap probably started out bein' both but once he became a master he makes someone else the apprentice , not a rule though.
There are still old fellas out goin' it alone..

meanwhile on a different boat.
