Goooodmorning!!!

Sunday about 11:00 am my cousin Pat and her husband were on their way to breakfast in Socorro, NM. They had been involved a geocaching event all week and going to breakfast with friends.

There as a slow down in traffic southbound I25. A Nissan came flying into the congestion and rear ended Bob and Pat’s Wrangler. At least three end over ends followed by a series of roll overs happened. It was a horrific accident. No alcohol was involved and all were wearing seatbelts according to the Highway Patrol.

Pat died instantly. Bob has been in the hospital in Albuquerque since. He was in surgery yesterday to secure ribs broken longitudinally. He is doing well considering the circumstances. Crews are still out searching for Bella their toy poodle. She was last seen fleeing the area immediately after the accident.

Pat would have been 74 July 24th. She was the anchor for the whole family emotionally and financially. Our fathers served in WW2, dad in Europe, Van was in the Pacific. Van passed away in 2000 of lung cancer. She was dad’s fiduciary and a daughter to him. He’s devastated. We are too.

The geocaching world lost a great one. They were a team with Bob hovering around #10 in the world. We lost half of our partnership in our place in Yuma. For me Pat was the cousin I could call four or five times a week and then there was our passion for some of the best of TikTok.

Hug those close, closer.

Bob is doing well recovering. Yesterday they had to open him up to secure the broken ribs because they were split lengthwise, five hours under the knife.

Immediately after the crash Bella their toy poodle fled the scene. This is the middle of nowhere New Mexico and she’s not a people dog. She’s extremely shy. There has been an reward offered and search parties have been searching for her.

I tried to post a pic but that isn’t happening. Bella is a silver toy poodle recently spayed.

Thanks for the condolences.

Back to drinking hot coffee. 38° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 64° with mostly sunny skies. Put Flail mower on tractor and mowed 3 acre field yesterday. Grocery shopping this morning. Then hope to get started painting deck wood on trailer.

Harvey, good new on Bob. Hope his recovery continues as fast. Hope Bella is found soon.

Gordon, cooking eggs for 48 people. I have problems with just my 2 eggs.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

Orrin good luck today. Surgery at our age can be challenging.

Dog will eat after cats. Cats won’t eat after the dog. They have standards,
