Good Morning

We have a fabulous mechanic. Our body shop keeps looking at our truck. Our rust proofer is also a mechanic. The rust proofing only needs to be renewed every three years. One time our mechanic said he only had five people that new how to maintain a vehicle. My DH my self and my mother were on the list. It is a Monday been busy with ten phone calls. Take Care,Ann

Coffee is done brewing. 20° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 26° with partly cloudy skies. Ended up at neighbors helping him and his dad put up paneling and peg board. Was tired I got home from there. Did get my 1/2 hour on recumbent bike. Dinner was leftover in fridge. Hope to get spaghetti cooked today.

Orrin, I heard another team west of you lost a football game Sunday.

Bill, I will take some of that 66° up here.

Ann, there is a body shop in Dundee, MI That repairs Ford truck bodies after they rust. Took neighbor there for a quote on repairing their 2012 pickup. $6k
It is still rusting in their pole barn.

Popeye, about the same weather here. But not much bright.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good morning!! 8, headed 23 and cloudy.

Ann, just keep watching facebook and e-bay for PU box that will fit your truck. One will turn up sooner or later. I would watch the desert southwest salvage yards. They will ship.

WildeBill, I have been shipping that cold air south so that warmer temps will roll in behind it!!!

Popeye, I had read that Mel Blanc was just a regular guy, now I know it. Thanks.

Today is auction day!

Poured first cup of coffee. 19° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 23° with cloudy skies. No spaghetti again yesterday. Neighbor fell from his wheel. Went over and helped wife get him back in chair and then bed. Did not seem to cause any injuries. He is on heavy pain medications. They are organizing some home care for him. Did get daily exercises in. Looking at weather for next 10 days. Daytime temperatures are going to stay in the 20's. Maybe some snow friday. Looks like no seat time for me in the near future.

Orrin, I think your sending weather south is a little off. Lots of it has headed my way.

Popeye, Stay warm. Liked the video.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.

Good morning!! 7, headed to 20.

I sold 42 cars at the auction last night. It was a good auction, prices were up.

Ronj, I never said I was successful.

Going to help a friend buy a car today. It's fun to do that.

Popeye must not be up yet, he's hibernating.

Popeye is up at the usual time , just have a forum to run and it's taking more of my time lately....
21+probably 22 for a high LOL windchill makes it irrelevant anyway ! NW@10gusting 25 The C B ,,,,nada ? IDK maybe the buoy sank ? I'll just go with 38 from the last check but it is probably lower

I have an old buddy , an old friend's kid (he used to be my little buddy but he grew up and got old , not as old as me though lol) Anyhoo I of course infected the little guy by teaching him and his sister how to play twinkle twinkle and mary's little lamb on their piano , so now 50+ years later I got to see him again and he's gigging @ a club in Puerto Rico !! So I asked him to announce between sets that his old friend popeye is in Maine and it's really cold so if anyone could fart in my general direction......well ya know the rest. So today I texted him telling of my weather and asking if he was really requesting my heatwave ??? So I asked him to video the audience response if he could . Ya know just to make sure .

Sorry I musicinfected him but glad to see how he grew up !
ARRRRRRRRRR he be a pirate , I'm so proud !

and he's in a good spot for the rummmmmm to !

Good Morning

Fixing rusty bed truck. Our usual body shop quoted us $3.000 for a used truck bed. Said he would need the truck for two weeks. Going to use the shop that fixed our HiLo camping trailer as they have a lift. You don't even see the rust. You just feel the bumps on the back side. It is only one wheel well that needs work. The other side has been done a few years ago. They need the lift to put on a heavy metal plate for the running board. It needs reinforcement to stop the rattles. We are also going to have them sandblast the trailer hitch and paint it. They had a truck bed delivered from down south. It was promptly sent back as it was far rustier than what we have. Will check back on Friday for the estimate. The truck is ten years old. Worth it to repair. A new truck would probably cost $90.000 to replace. Thanks for all the suggestions.Take Care,Ann

Drinking a cup of hot coffee. 0° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 26° with a few clouds. Got spaghetti made yesterday. I am now set for a few quick meals in the next month. Grocery shopping this morning then see what I get into. For sure in house exercise.
Trying to stay warm.

Orrin, practice makes perfect. Keep trying.

Ann, If the truck is in good condition it is worth the repair cost.

Popeye, here it is early January. I checked barn loft of some extra warmth. It is already used up.

Everyone stay warm, well and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good Morning

We have owned many vehicles through the years. We are very good at keeping them looking new. A mechanic friend of ours says Pennsylvania has a law that vehicles must be fixed if rusty. A good state for a body shop guy to work in. Both body shops we use are pretty much busy all year. Several small school buses on the lot waiting to be fixed. Never saw a ratty school bus on the road.Winter ice and snow bring them business from accidents. Take Care,Ann

Coffee is tasting very good today. 10° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 25° with couple inches of snow. Grocery shopping went good. Very few shoppers in stores. Got everything on the list. Rest of the day was spent conserving energy. Will check out tractors in case there is enough snow to plow tomorrow. Hope to get a Sassy walk in.
Got a new bird feeder for Christmas

Ann, good you can keep tracks for a few years.

Popeye, no problem if furnace fails. I have a wood stove that will heat the whole house if needed. Just have no heat to share with others this year.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.
