Tim, it may be with all the local area boondockers the resort has trouble with outsiders coming in to use the showers. When something’s free people will often abuse it because it has no value. Give it value by charging for it and the abuse stops or is lessened. Since you’re a paying guest you may want to talk to the park management about it.

Joe said he was going to take a shower at the resort but found out you have to pay for it?? I said What? Yep he said. What am I paying for here just a place to park? I have never heard of it. I don't even think truckers pay at the truck stops do they?
I think its time we look elsewhere. I did research it before getting here but never thought we would have to pay for showers. The resort pays water, sewer one hour of wifi a day, no pool, exercise room, TV we pay electric.
I will say it is very clean here.

Hey Gordon what ya got down there? I don't need tv I just bought a new antenna
Tim
Hi Tim;
We get parking. Showers are free. Cleaning is OK. We pay for power. No wifi here unless you tag onto a neighbor. We have a pool and hot tub but no exercise room. Lots of activities offered. Shuffleboard, horse shoes, lots of crafts. Seem to be lots of empty spots.

Most truck stops charge truckers for showers. However based on fuel usage they earn points that can be redeemed for showers and other stuff.

Morning All! Coffee is great today, as is the weather. Another day in the mid 40's, will get something done today! Hauled a ton of "Stuff" over to my shop so there will be room for the guy to wet sand/polish the Dakota. One more load today then i'm going thru it all and downsizing my hoard as Sally calls it, although she doesn't refer to it as that when something needs fixing and I have what it takes for the job! LOL. Problem is with a 1 1/2 car garage when you need it you can't find it and can't fit a car in there! So you end up spending hours finding something, or you go buy another one. Either process is frustrating and a waste of time, and at 60 I have better things to do with my time! So off to sort out more electrical and plumbing "stuff" and find my 3-4 of most every tool in the world!!! Well not quite but my garage has been referred to as the "Noahs Arc" of garages, when Sally asks me how many of something I have! Take Care! Bobby

Arizona "Weather Wimps"

Goooodmorning all y’all!

Looks like a rainy day here in southeastern Arizona. The heck is it rains so seldom that I actually enjoy the occasional rainy days here. I hope it rains hard today to help further confirm whether or not my recent roof repairs caught the leaks.

Yesterday a friend and I saw “The Hateful 8”. It turns out that the reviewers for Rotten Tomatoes nailed it with their reviews, what a long drawn out disgusting bloodbath of a movie ! However, I did enjoy a few of the trailers before the movie, of course that’s not what I paid to see.

That was a funny post by Bobby about tools. My garage also had many duplicate tools! I was always a tool buyer; I’d pick up once-in-blue-moon tools at garage sales for pennies on the dollar. The kind of tools you seldom ever need, but when you do need them nothing else will do. My late wife Gail would tease me some, but she also appreciated the fact that she never had to wait for or pay for a repair person as long as she had me around .

Hopefully, the rain will clear by this weekend so I can get some more quail hunting in. This beautiful Arizona weather sure does turn you into a “weather wimp”!

Good Morning Gang,
Coffee was good this morning, Dad made raisen bread the other day and gave us a couple slices, it made excellent toast. Still on the cool side here, highs in the 60's, but right now cloudy. It will warm up when the sun breaks through.
Have a great day all,
Frank

Morning,
Coffee is wonderful, Who made it?
Currently 50 and having cloud bursts.
Have a beautiful new/newer Provost that came in yesterday and is parked over one lot, I didn't want him to have a guilt trip parking right next to our Beautiful MH. LOL
I have to wear sunglasses looking at all that chrome, I'd love to polish that baby. WOW
I'll have to check my PB ticket's might have to go lookie
Back to reality ,
Shopped yesterday at the tents and a hardware/MH Parts store, man that guy has everything and anything you might need.
Finally found a flag pole/flags /Fiberglass but looks like aluminum 23 footer @ the tents (nice couple selling them) and ladder attaching hardware been looking for awhile and the State Flag even makes it better. They even threw in the State flag into the package.
Now comes the problem we have our new TV antenna already attached to the ladder @ 22 feet. Do I lower the Tv antenna or have the flag not fully extended? Can I have it (TV ant.) above the flag? I know you can't have any other Flag higher or above the US Flag?
any other options?
I really enjoy watching old Glory flapping in the breeze.
Rail- glad to see you back, any luck on the new MH search?
Bobby- can't wait to see the finished product.
Have a Great Day,
Tim

Good morning everyone!! Coffee was very good today!!
Cool here in the mornings, then up in the high 80's!!
Tim, I think you can have the TV antenna higher than the US flag? I think it just pertains to any other flag?
Anyone heard from Curtis lately? I sent him a PM the other day about a MH in his area, but have not heard back from him? I am sure he is busy!
Tim, still have not found the right one yet, but looking!
Steve, have fun Quail hunting!
Everyone stay warm, if you are in the cold country! And stay cool if you are in the snowbird states!! Rail!

Morning,
Currently 43,
No Rain,
Coffee is going down wonderfully...
Went to install the new flag and guess what no FLAG
Went back to the tents to see if I left it on the counter, they said no you get 1 free flag she wanted another 10 bucks. I said I paid for the package and you thru in the state flag as a freebee she said no you only get 1 free flag. again
I just thru my hands in the air and left. Now that nice couple are not so nice... i'll use the flag I bought last year.
The only problem with going to bed early is you get up early, up at 2 and can't fall back to sleep, so here I am...
Thanks Rail, I kinda thought that but thought I would ask.
Has any one tried those magnets that are suppose to help heal your woe's?
I saw them at the tents yesterday and thought I would try for my back issues, I'll pretty much try anything for relief.
Well that's about it for me, hoping the sun shines today.
Tim

Goooodmorning all y’all!!!

It rained a bit here yesterday and then it snowed!!! Lions and tigers and bears! Oh, my!!! I guess it’s my own fault; after all I just had to rave about the great Arizona weather.

I finally finished a repair to a neighbor’s 1988 Ford powered Class C yesterday. He was having trouble with a leaking single function reservoir/fuel filter. The part itself is considered by Ford to be unserviceable but they’ll gladly sell you a new one for $90 ($54 on Amazon) or you can do your research and purchase a kit from NAPA for $8.50 and easily repair the old one, which I did. I love the internet!

My coffee is very good today, I usually buy Costco’s whole bean house blend for 2lbs for $10 and have been very pleased with it. Unfortunately, there’s no local Costco so I purchased Peets whole bean Major Dickason for a whole lot more $$$$, but it taste’s good. I used to buy green coffee beans and roast them in a hot air popcorn popper. It produced some exceptional coffee. The problem was, you had to roast outside and ambient outside air temperatures would affect roast times causing inconsistent roasts. I experimented with it for about three months and finally quit when the weather turned really cold.

I have a bunch of errands to run today, plus I need a haircut. It’s funny, back in my college days I’d get a haircut every six to twelve months, whether I needed one or not, but usually when I’d go home and my dad would demand and pay for it. Now after much more than a month my hair gets so uncomfortable and itchy that I get it cut. The same with facial hair, I don’t know how you bearded guys can stand the itching.

All y’all stay warm today!

Steve

Good morning, all. Coffee was great this morning. Raining here now. We are due for some snow tomorrow afternoon. I am thankful for the reports from Quartzite. I hope to go there after Lu Ann retires. It sounds like a/c units can be problematic after a few years. The St. Louis RV show will be next weekend. We are very happy with the floor plan in our fiver purchased there three years ago, but like to attend each year for fun. Can't wait for more Dakota pictures!

Good Morning Gang,
Coffee was good again this morning, weather even better, rained last night a little, about 70* right now and cloudy, supposed to go to near 80 today and tomorrow.
Had a good time at the golf course yesterday and even better time at the dollar draft at the country club lodge afterwards.
Rail,
did you get the PM I sent you yesterday, or was it the day before(It is tough to get old)? Ahhh, it was Wednesday that I sent it.
Have a great day all,
Frank

Yup - just got back from a visit home for Christmas. Sad while there because it did not snow enough to take the tractor out and do some plowing.

Spent more time outside while at home that back in AZ so far. Now that it has stopped raining will be getting out more.
