Good morning! Moose, glad that there may be daylight at the end of the tunnel.

Lloyd, that sounds like a lot of fun. My wife could never do it. We tried it once with my my son in CO. and it scared her so bad that she walked back down the mountain.

37 here going to 51.

Keep the shiny side up.

Be aware, big construction back up west of ABQ on I-40!
Had a trucking buddy take 4 hours to get thru it a few days ago! Try to time it in the middle of the night, if possible! Rail!

Drinking first cup of coffee. 40° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 48° with some sun in PM. Got to my Aunts yesterday and she was not feeling well. So shopping was canceled. Going to go grocery shopping for myself this morning. Have a couple of small tree to remove from backyard. Will see if I get that done today.
Got a good flock of Blue Jays at Feeders this year. This picture is 1/2 of them.

Rail, my son will be driving thru there today on his way to Phoenix. Hope it is not backed up.

Popeye, mostly clouds is what it looks like here today.

Orrin, took my wife for a ride when we visited Moab. She swore that she would never go again. We rented a Jeep in Sedona. She went with me. Never say never.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Rail
Was it construction or really just left overs from black friday .,,,"Walkin' in a human traffic jam" ??? Skuh kuh kuh kuh

I usually only traveled I-40 as far as Nashville and 65 or the Trace to 20 or 10 after 12/1. I've had enough of winter slipperyness for 10 lifetimes.....

and remember what Bugs said....

That jam is looking better than my yahd right now , oh ayuh !

30 to start out today , well WHEN it starts .
It just started raining,,,,at least I HOPE it's rain not sleet or hail.

Well, I just went out to feed me crew,,, no sleet or hail ! Just freezing rain,,,,hmmmmmmm
where did I put those cleats ???????

Good morning all!

62* this am, just a few very high clouds in sight. High of 82* expected.

Jeep run was really fun yesterday, even if I say so myself. Expected just a few to join us, ended up with 10! Gordon kept bsy all day,,,,, cutting the ocaisional bush that was a paint attacker, spotting others through difficult places. Great job. Then he and Janet made us a wonderfull dinner on their patio!

I should mention RonS and his tracker went right thru this pretty difficult route. There were lots of rocky sections and one that was about 100" of engine block size rocks in a dry stream bed,,,,,,,, no problem! I should mention it was a in and out trail, so he had to do it twice!

We just missed one of those mega jams on I 40 on the way home last year, it was the day before our passing thru.

Satelite man scheduled to come today, hope to figure out why it is not working. Always something.

Have a great day all!

Rail, Yes there was a JAM. Took about an hour maybe a little more to get through it. They are doing a good job redoing that part of I-40. I have to laugh, people bitch because the roads are rough and worn out. But they complain just as much when they work on them to fix the problem.
Well made it to OK RV Park & Red Rock MHP, 1576 Roadrunner Rd, Holbrook, AZ. Going to the Petrified Forest National Park tomorrow.
I-40 is the truckers road. People who haven't seen or driven it wouldn't believe how many trucks are on the road.
rvpopeye, Come on lots to see and do.
Bill

Coffee has finished brewing. 29° with light snow this morning. Heading to 39° with cloudy skies. Got 2 trees down and hauled over to chipper pile. Never made it out for grocery shopping. On today's list. Neighbors that have Covid walked over to my place to see what I was doing with tractor. Kept at least 20' distance. Good to see them getting better.
Posing for a winter weather picture.

Rail, Son made it thru traffic jam area early yesterday morning.

Bill, great place to visit. When we visited the winds almost blew us over. Some great views at Painted Desert while you are there.

Llyod, good luck with Satellite repair.

Popeye, same route I take/took after 12/1.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good morning. 36 headed to 46 today, cloudy. Don't have much planned today.

Just go to Deerfield to look at some old toy trains. I collect them. Maybe stop by the MH just to just to check on it and be sure the batteries are still charged up.

Oh, and go have lunch with my motorcycle buddies. Then, I will come home and clean the fireplace. Good to have a working shop vac.

I guess I do have a few things planned.

Great to see all are doing well. Ron, I still enjoy the wildlife pictures. Popeye, you're getting more snow than we are. Next Tuesday we are supposed to get snow and a low of 10. I know we'll get the low.

If all goes as planned a week today we will be in our coach with all our possessions included poised for a run to the Yuma area to start on December 28th or thereabouts. Highways in BC will start allowing non essential traveling after this weekend.

I read this thread daily but don't want to clutter it up with failing plans so once underway we will keep you regaled (or not) with our ramblings.

Denise has finished all her planned medical tests with nothing conclusive but one doctor mentioned her potassium levels are high and that this MAY be her problem.

Again we are starting to look forward to meeting everyone and getting together for M&Gs with you lot.

Gordon and Janet we hope your flights to and from the Sn*w go well and you get to enjoy time with family and friends.

To everyone else, stay safe and healthy and be as happy as you can.

New Tourist Attraction in Southern Vancouver Island.

Denise and I were at a loss for something to do besides shopping and being the day was young and very sunny we decided to take in a newly opened tourist venue.

The patch we bought to go in our collection of places visited.

The promotion brochure to show the tower from the outside via drone shot.

Driftwood Art along the entrance walkway

Second Driftwood Art along the entrance walkway

Entrance Walkway

Shot looking down along the climb to the top

Another shot looking down along the climb to the top

Top observation platform

View of the centre core and the bum slide

The view out toward the Victoria Airport and City of Vancouver way in the distance.

The experience was way too much fun and the walk is very easily done even with a sketchy heart and wonky knees. We plan to do it again next time we get to the Island. Would totally recommend to anyone who has been thinking of trying the place out.
