Good Morning;
We have been very fortunate with the weather. Obviously the farmers are very pleased and are making hay while the sun shines, so to speak!

Ron - sorry about your plumbing and tree issues. Fortunately the tree and coach did not have an encounter. If we were a tad closer I would help you with the sawzall. Well not really sawzall but I do have a good chainsaw.

Bit cautious when it comes to power lines. Not so worried about getting a shock cause I can cut and run but more about bringing down the line and the complications thereafter. Was clearing on the neighbors property and had cut down a bunch of trees. All that were left were a couple that were leaning over the power line. Tractor was not heavy enough to pull the tree away. I think I could have brought it down sideways but not worth the risk. So I called the power company and told them I had cut down what I could of the tree stand and there were a couple left hanging over the line. If they would top them I would finish. Next day a very large bucket truck showed up and the fellow not only topped them but brought them all the way down - in fireplace lengths.

Orrin - looking forward to meeting you and Linda in Yuma. Golf is definitely on. Frank has been talking about getting out with us this season as well.

Frank - like the look of the new bumper and spare tire.

Morning Chris. Welcome.

Today is turning out gorgeous. Been shopping for groceries. Trip to Costco to prepare for bringing some food with us. Now its lunch time.

Have a great day.

May the best of your today be the worst of your tomorrow.

Prayers appreciated

I am back to having very restricted movement in my neck. The pain is 20 on a scale of ten. Called pain management. Was hoping they could get me in the office for a head nerve block. No luck so far. Made an apt with neurosurgeon for Oct. 5th. Did a little cooking for camping this weekend. DH made the funfettti vanilla cake. HiLo is parked across the street. Thursday will turn the propane ref. on. Maybe being with our camping club friends and laughing will help me forget about my painful neck. DH had fun crawling under the HiLo to lube the cables. Takes 45minutes to do this job. Hate my insurance co. When i was in ER the DR> ordered a muscle relaxer and pain patches. Both RX are not on the formulary. This is why I am in a painful deteriorated state. Take care, Ann

Frist cup of coffee has been poured. 47° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 61° with mostly sunny skies. Found other projects to do in shop yesterday. So grass did not get mowed. Will get it done today in sunshine. After I get back from grocery shopping.
Deer hunting season open Saturday. I will not be seeing deer in the field during the day.

Frank, tire mount and cover look great.

Jimmy Jime, Welcome to Goooodmorning!!!.

RonS, hope your tree is removed soon.

Gordon, I always worry about taking trees down that are near powerlines and weight more than tractor. I have a big Maple in my front yard that needs trimming because it is over powerlines. Local power company has made several visits to my place worried about doing the trimming. I have given them permission to take down the large limbs. But they have not been back to get it done.

Orrin, my arm is slowly getting better. Cast is in the way of every thing that I want to do. You will enjoy your time in AZ. Wife and I did it for 12 years. So much to do.

Ann, hope you get some relief for neck pain soon.

Prayers for those in Florida.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good Thursday Morning All!

53* here, partly sunny. Calm before the storm. Ian headed this way. We expect lots of rain, and some winds,,, we are over 100 miles in off the cost, but many predictions has the eye headed our way.

Our trip to the beach was very nice. Cape Lookout is so pretty. We explored the southern 15 miles of the 56 mile island. Plenty to do next visit. We picked a spot on the beach to camp and setup late Monday afternoon. There was no one in sight in either direction for over a mile, no lights seen after dark other than our own and the lighthouse. A bazillion stars. Didn't have a campfire Monday night,,,, made it better to star gaze. Tuesday night we had a beach campfire. Are gear all worked very well, but we are going to make a few changes in how we pack it. Kitchen worked great! We ate well! So cool to have a fridge onboard and not mess with ice. (pun intended)

Ann, sorry you are in such pain. Hope relief is coming.

RonS, great pictures as always. Hope your arm feels better soon.

Orrin, sounds great. Bonita Mesa is a nice park, reasonable pricing. This will be our 3rd season in the park. Bought our new place there expect to be there awhile.

Gordon, thats a lot of potatoes!!! And 5 buckets are 1/2 of them! Sheesh!

Got a few small 300 to 500' fence jobs ready for us, but the weather is going to hold that all up.

Start to focus on Yuma soon. We plan to leave on the 25th.

Have a great day all!

Good morning!! 35, headed to 63. Lucky we did not get frost. Going to be nice.

Ann, I sure hope you get some pain relief. I am fortunate that I have a really great Medicare supplement insurance.

Jimmy Jime, welcome to the thread. Tell us about yourself and join in.

Lloyd, that is a great looking camping rig. Lots of fun.

Frank, I love that spare tire cover. Well done.

Ronj, we used to see deer on the farm. They would hide in the corn. I would carry a shot gun with slugs on the corn picker so we would have venison.

Linda and I played bridge last night. One of our guests did dinner. Homemade pizza from scratch. MMMMM GOOD. Today is a clean-up yard day and other chores.

We can't wait to meet you all in person. I am not nearly as good looking as you think I am.

Good Morning;
Golfing today. Weather is a bit cooler with predicted 18C.

Harvested some of the watermelon yesterday. Good sized. Did not get an opportunity to try one yet but will tonight.

Got a note from one of the permanent residents of our park in Yuma. Sounds like another big change in management direction. Supposed to be all kinds of new activities and the installation of fiber optics for internet. Does'nt appear they have done any downgrades to the rates.

Lloyd - do the tent and carrier have to come off to load the jeep in the trailer? Are you bringing the kayaks to Yuma? I am planning on bringing Janets.

Have a great day.

May the best of your today be the worst of your tomorrow.

Medicare ins.

We have a PPO plan with Medicare. We aren't allowed to pick up a supplemental plan. Probably should get together with our ins. agent to see if another plan will work for us. I have a secondary drug plan that won't allow drugs if medicare doesn't have it on the formulary. The most we pay for RX is $20.00 copay. We both have some expensive drugs so we get our $ worth even though we have a premium to pay. Prayers for all those in Ivans path. We have two friends with houses in Florida. Watching the news it seems like the entire state is trashed. Slightly better with my neck pain. Take care Ann

Poured first cup of hot coffee. 36° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 63° with lots of sun. Grocery shopping went good. Got grass mowed. Sat on the back porch and watched birds and squirrel work over the bird feeders. Younger squirrels have not figured out that they cannot get to feeders by climbing the pole. Off to Dr this morning. Hope they give me something besides the cast for my arm.

Ann, hope you find an better drug plan.

Gordon, Watermelon is one my favorite fruits harvested from garden. But what does one person do with a whole watermelon.

Orrin, are all the repairs to motorhome completed?

Llyod, neat addons to your Jeep.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.

Good Friday Morning All!

58* here. The wind arrived here around noon yesterday. Gusty, maybe 30 mph. It has been slowly picking up speed. Rain arrived about a hour ago (5am), Rain today supposed to be hard, and lots of it. Coupled with 30 mph winds. More of the same as the storm eye makes landfall here in S.C. around mid afternoon. Rain forecasted for the weekend till early Monday.

Frank, new tire carrier and cover look great.

Orrin, looking forward to meeting you at Bonits Mesa.

Gordon,, Jeep should fit as seen in the trailer for the trip to Yuma, although I have not tried it yet. No kayaks this year, too much house stuff for the new place to be transported.

Spent yesterday washing the salt spray off the tent and the Jeep. I will still be vacuming sand out of everywhere for the next 5 years ! Jeep with tent open is in the barn drying. Mean while I have a few "tweaks" to make to the new setup.

Have a great day all!

Good morning!! 46, headed to 68. Clear skys.

We have a neighbor that just built a new house in Florida. I don't know where it is in relation to the storm.

Ann, now is the time to make changes to your Medicare coverage. I pay a little more for my supplement and have separate part D coverage. Well worth it. I can schedule an appointment with a specialist-no deductible/very small deductible on some med, but not all. No co-pay if I wind up in the hospital. I am very pleased with it. Check with your county department of aging and disabilities. They have a wealth of information.

I don't have all of the repairs made to the MH. Still need to wire in the new control box for the front A/C and furnace, wire in the new control box for the jacks, and trouble shoot the Pac Brake. Other than that, good to go.

Ronj, hoping that you get good news, and the doc removes the cast. They removed the pins from my grandson's arm 3 days ago, and he is fine.

Lloyd, you and Deb stay safe in that storm and watch out for flash flooding.

Gordon, good fun golfing.
