Hawkins Coaches

Are these collectables and worth anything?

What about a 1995?

Thanks

A friend of mine has it and is trying to sell for $16500.

Thanks for replies.

Windmill Bob

P.S. It is fairly good shape all around but would need a couple of tires replaced because of age only. 3406 CAT I believe.

By any standards I'm aware of, they're too big to be "collectable". Value? 100% dependent on condition. Could have one foot in the scrap yard, might be a very nice coach. Price you're thinking 100% subjective.

If it's nice, and he's having a tough time selling it, consider there's not much available in the way of financing on coaches that age. That's a deal beaker for a lot of people, and when you remove them from the list of potential purchasers, you're removing a pretty good chunk from the number of people that might be interested in something like this? For that reason, it can often take a while to sell even the nicest ones....

Thanks for responding. I was thinking on the idea that they were manufactured for a few years only and were of pretty good quality so they may be sought after if in good condition.

I agree with what your saying, but it's still all about the condition it's in. Are you considering buying it, or trying to help him sell it?

If helping, and it's a nice one that not selling, maybe a change in focus regarding how it's being advertised for sale is due? Does he have anyone looking at it or responding to adds he's running?

He has had it on rv lot all summer. Did not sell so trying locally without luck.

My 1992 Pace Arrow just does not cut it in the Mountains even with the 454. Power but too slow up and down that I have to keep pulling over. Want to pull a toad also so I might consider buying?

I love old stuff like this, but found I need to have a slide due to the longer times we spend on the road away from home. Otherwise, something like this would be really appealing to me.

With a 92 coach now, you know about maintenance requirements for something that age. I'd say if you can use it, go for it! No clue what it has for power, but would still assume it won't even know there's a toad behind it.
