headlight switch 1994 National Dolphin 34D

After losing my headlights a few times I became aware of a pattern. When we switch the lights to high beam the lights would go out within a few minutes to a half hour. But, when I switched back to low beam the lights would come back on. The module that houses the push/pull light switch mounted on the dash became very hot to the touch.

I removed the headlight switch by disconnecting the wiring plug and noted some scorching on the wires leading into the switch.

I would like to replace this eight-pin headlight switch to isolate the issue, however, I cannot locate the replacement switch. There are no identifying numbers, only an "Assembled in Mexico" stamp. Does anyone know how to locate a replacement switch? The VIN didn't provide hints; it has an Oshkosh chassis. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Freightliner handles info for Oshkosh, you could check with them. Also try taking the switch to a good Auto parts store, they might be able to match it up.
