Hello! Are there any Winn Spectrum 2000 Owners out there?

Hi there:

I recently bought a 33 ft. 1989 Winnebago Spectrum 2000 Pusher that has been totaly renovated and converted from a gasoline Ford 460 with 3 speed transmission to diesel. New paint, new roof AC added, new dash by CIP, fresh interior, factory new Ford 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel engine and a 4R100 4 speed automatic transmission. It had less than 500 miles on the odometer since the renovation and conversion.
I would like to meet other Spectrum 2000 owners to exchange contact information. To form a support group to assist each other when traveling. Owners who we could visit when traveling in their area, travel with to rallys, support when in need of some kind of assistance with our Spectrums.

Thanks,

Bob, I have a Spectrum 2000 I bought in 2005. Mine came from SIV via an owner from Gerogia. Mostly what I do is fix the stuff which wasn't done right by SIV and fight rust. The V-10 motor is doing fine and just about everything else has been redone or re-worked or replaced over the last 6-8 months, starting at the roof, and working down, inside and out.

I'd like to compare notes with you about what you are doing with yours...I'll bet we could help each other a lot.

This reply is just in hope of there still being other Spectrum 2000 owners out there.
I have one that still has a 460 Ford gas power. This is the fastest light on its feet motor home I have ever driven. It takes off from a light as if it were a normal size car. It cruises at 80mph if you are not careful. We bought it because it was low to the ground and much easier to get in for my wife who has trouble climbing stairs.
Yes I would trade it for an old Beechcraft Bonanza V tail. lol

Hi There

The following link is to the "Spectrum 2000 Owners' Google Group.
https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=...m/spectrum2000

They are a good group for you to join.

I no longer have a Spectrum. My pockets were not deep enough.

I am currently renovating a 1976 23 ft GMC Birchaven.
