Thanks for the kind words. The switch covers are a bit of an illusion, I used the tools at my disposal to create reasonable match. The originals are brushed aluminum with brown silkscreen, and although I have some experance with silkscreening, setting it up from scratch would have been more work than I was looking for in this project.

Through my work I have access to a water jet cutter and laser markers, the problem is that aluminum marks white with a laser, but at low power you can get a brown mark on stainless steel, (with higher power it marks black on SS).

So the plates are water jet cut stainless steel hand sanded and brushed to the best match I could manage and marked with a 30 watt fiber laser. On close inspection you can see the differences, but there are no original plate near by so they look the part. And they are much better than the plastic alternatives that came with the switches.

I’ve added a couple more pictures, one “before “ and one all lit up.

Keep up the good work and I believe you can probably make a nice side living fixing other people's coaches if you ever wanted too with your extreme trouble shooting and fixup skill.
Thanks, I would have loved to get the 34’ version on the Gillig chassis but I had to stretch my price point just to buy this one. The old beasts sure do have some charm.

I don’t know about a side living in old motorhome repair, I can barely find the time to keep up with the main living. But I do get enjoyment from tinkering with old stuff.
