OK : I can honestly say " I have NO IDEA !"

Someone mounted a radiator and electric fan from a small car to cool something ... but what , the hoses run towards the rear , if it was some how attached to the engine cooling system I could understand it .

Can you follow them to the point of origin ?

I can see the fuel filter in one picture , but that is not good hose for fuel , someone used RV water hose for fuel .

THIS IS NOT GOOD . Yellow box .

There has been RV water lines used as fuel hose , punched through the floor .

To me that indicates that fuel lines from the non factory tank and the change over valve maybe inside the RV .
This is a disaster just waiting to happen .

WHAT bad thing did you do to someone that they left you this mess .

So gas is leaking out of the bottom but not out of that hose.

You need to get inside the RV in the area where the fuel lines are punched through the floor and find out what is going on in there .

I suspect you'll find a valve and a third hose from the added tank ,and fuel lines should never have been run inside the RV .

If there is fuel coming out of the hose ( center fitting marked tank ) ; either the tank is over full and the gauge doesn't show it , or there are issues with the way the evap hose is attached at the tank .

EG; connection for the tank vent to the filler neck and evap line reversed .

I have to BBQ supper so I'm off line for a while , please report what you find inside the RV for fuel lines I'll check in after supper.

Good grief !

I'll try and go through your picture one by one .
First picture , is a manual tank switching valve , and from my memory of that vintage undercarriage the handle looks to be under the drivers seat pedestal, or directly behind it , I can only make out two of the pedestal mounting bolts.

The small car radiator and fan ; now that I see the tubes attached to it go forward , is an attempt to add cooling system capacity possibly due to an overheating problem.

It looks like every where the person ran out of hose they used a fuel filter as a connector .

The original fuel line would have been in the clip next to the floor with the rear brake tube , probably rusted through and was replaced with whatever he had handy.

I'll finish this post now and review the photos again , I can't view them while I'm typing .

Ok ; does the fuel line I've marked with the red arrow go to the engine fuel pump ?

And where in all this are the hoses that attached to the vapor canister ?

The large fuel filter on the drivers side frame rail is in a factory position , at this point we can only assume it's attached to the small OEM tank .

Can you pull the fuel line off the filter and see how much fuel will siphon out of that tank ? If you can get 5 or more gallons out , then see if the fuel gauge moves.
The smaller fuel filter by the underslung radiator , MIGHT , be in a line that comes from the larger tank , but that would have to be investigated.

Marty ; I'm calling it a day , I'll check tomorrow , but after Monday I'll be away for 8/9 days .

If you do manage to siphon a quantity of fuel , then attach a hose direct from the large filter to the engine fuel pump .
Plug off any line that leaks fuel at the canister mount and try to start the engine . If the engine won't start , connect a hose direct to the fuel pump to a gas can to check the pump operation. .

I'll think on the situation in the morning and post any more ideas ; it took 50 years to get this poor unit into this condition , hopefully we can straighten it out quicker that that.
