Hengs Rubber roof coating on an aluminum roof
I have a 1967 kit companion 1500 camper that I have customized the roof is made of aluminum every 4 feet there’s a seam there’s never been a leak but I did coat it with an aluminum coating made by Karnak years ago just to be sure now it’s getting a little flaky and I’m gonna power wash it and get it very clean and make sure it’s very dry
I just bought a can of HENGS roof coat. Rubber roof coating
The can is orange it’s 1 gallon size they just discontinued this product but you can buy it online still
Nowhere on the can does it say anything about mixing this rubber roof coating but you would think the company would tell you you do not need to mix the rubber roof coating and that you could use it straight out of the can I use to paint houses years ago and I know some materials you have to be very careful to mix very slowly or if you suspend air bubbles in the material you can have problems so my question is does anybody know whether this product should be mixed or not?
Today I called the company that made this product and I was astonished at how uninformed customer service was I asked for a technician and the woman told me “well I am the one that answers the phones and I answer questions” when I asked her about mixing the material or whether it does not need to be mixed she said “oh well,..I guess just take a paint stick and stir it a few times”
That’s what you get today,.people that have been hired a week or a month ago and don’t know anything but if they speak English they can answer a phone and if they answer questions one way or another it doesn’t matter they don’t care
it’s a shame it really is our country is just going right into the toilet it’s horrible you can buy brand new car parts made by reputable companies that now have subbed out manufacturing to China you put it on your car in 2000 miles it breaks and falls off like the ball joints on my Volvo did
