I appreciate the offer but if tomorrow is anything like today I will be doing nothing or less.

So far this has been a cluster and unless we make a huge turn around this clinic will not be doing the other eye

Its better than this morning but only marginal

this morning I had just light and shapes. It was scarey. This evening itís better, I can see light and colors. the doc said itís mostly about swelling but nothing serious and that it will be fine. He ordered we double up on one of the eye drops, every two hours instead of four. And he added another eye drop every two hours to the regimen. We left the drís office under the impression that they were going to call over the prescription to pharmacy and it would be ready when we got there. It wasnít. We call drís office. Said they would call it in again. Then about six they called to tell us is wasnít a prescription but over the counter. We just picked it up. Like I said, ďclusterĒ.

We chose this office because they were the ones that pulled some steel out of my eye two years ago. They had a base line to go by and we figured that was important.

Bottom line, surgery Tuesday, eyesight the same Wednesday as Monday, to be expected. This morning, blind in cut eye. This evening, better, can see the television but canít distinguish picture, different colored lights in a rectangle.

Weíll see (play on words).

Harvey, we got your back! Relax, relax, relax! I'm sure it is a very scary time, and we are all praying for you!
My buddy that came over here to Thailand with me, was blind in one eye, and was getting a cataract in his good eye, he put it off as long as he could, but finally made the appointment at a clinic in Phnom Phem, it was a very scary time for him, but after a week or so, he was good as new!
Give it time to heal, and let all the prayers do their job!

agree with Guardrail53

Harvey please be patient. In good time the swelling will go away. Each day your eye should get a little better. Prayers for a full recovery,.

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor.

But that seems to make sense. If it is swollen, the lens would not be in its final, desired shape resulting in "out of focus."

We are praying and cheering for you in FL!

Patience, Sir. Patience! Now, Relax.

I appreciate the support and prayers.

Today has been two different eye drops every two hours and another added every other time on a four hour schedule. The vision is the same. Best way I can describe it would be to double a piece of wax paper and tape over one eye.

It is what it is. But it had better get better.

Patient? Not a real word in the Harvey dictionary. Neither as someone who waits calmly for medical care or someone who waits calmly for anything.

Anyone got any knock out drops they can send Glenda? Maybe she can spike his coffee for a few days and let him sleep until that eye finishes healing.

Seriously Harvey, I know this must be really gnawing at your worst fears. If your doctor isnít panicking, it should come out good - eventually. The time to worry is when the doc looks concerned. I get the feeling that you rarely do anything the easy way and this is just another example.

Prayers and healing thoughts coming from this direction. Hugs, too!

Your getting some good advice. Lay back and relax thinking about how you are going to finish the barndominion this summer.
