We went by the source of our roofing material to check out color. As I understand it the original contractor provided the material I’m buying and it was rejected because it involved splices in the panels. So they went with another contractor who didn’t use splices.

So this is the color.

This morning before starting the extraction. We each took out a load. Bud and crew were excited about five bundles of 24 footers. I reminded them there were at least sixty more bundles of 24footers. Hopefully tomorrow we will get two loads each.

Old boy who lined us out told me the mistake was about $100,000.00 at the time. We got it for pennies on the dollar.

The autumn foliage on the tree in the picture above is beautiful! We don’t get to see that down here. Thanks for the reminder!

60 more bundles. That will keep you busy for more than one more day. How about 4. How many of the 39' bundles? Any idea what each bundle weighs.
Heck of a deal.

Ron I watched the Sky Track wrestle with the 39 footer bundle and expected it to be too much for the skid steer. Skid steer handled it like it was nothing but a thing. I have two more bundles of 39 footers, a couple of 36’ers and a 32’ or three. I need 34 26 footers for the north end of the barn and 34 ea 35 footers. The issue is most of the long ones were laying on the ground so we have to pressure wash them before use. The good thing is the color side is facing inside and shouldn’t have any damage.

One of the advantages of being so flexible is I had not settled on the soffit design until I visited the church and saw how they used the standing seam panels for soffit. Our soffit will be 32” wide. That means I will need approximately 275 pieces 32” long. I have enough short and or damaged pieces for that. I’m thinking I can install the soffit and paint it to match the side material before we install the roof and the siding. I’ll need RonS and his magic touch with the paint gun for that.

Barb that beautiful foliage picture was all sun up reflection this time of year. It is spectacular unless you’re driving into it.

Tomorrow this time it supposedly will be cold rain, good weather for early voting. Then next week there is a chance for wintry mix a day or three. It might get too wet for retrieving material even since it’s on dirt.

Have paint gun, will travel. Sure looks like a fun project. Barb, I honked when we went past your place. Last Saturday, Dec 5, right at noon. Two shorts and a long.

We have moved 27 bundles. There are at least fifty to go. Like in all projects we get more efficient as we do it.

We’ve inspected some of the worst looking pieces and it appears the ugly is clay and not rust.
