Little Help with my 1972 Dodge Champion 318

Hello everyone. I own a beautiful 72 Dodge Champion RV with the 318 in her. Getting her road ready and hope to soon take her out to a campsite.

Problem? I need a fuel filter for her.

Fuel comes forward form the tank along the frame on the passenger side of the vehicle. Enters a spin on fuel filter with, in my case, Japanese writing all over it. It then travels to the pump and later carb.

I need to know a good NAPA/ADVANCE/AZ part number for a replacement fuel filter or water separator if that is in face what it is.

I got it off with oil filter wrench yesterday and it looks identical to a oil filter. I can post some pics if necessary but didn't think I needed to.

I can't read Japanese.... my next step is to have to post some pics of the filter to see if a person with Japanese language skills may be able to identify some numbers...that probably wont cross ref....argh.

Thanks for your help.

You are sitting on a Dodge M series Class A chassis.

Take the filter to a NAPA store. I am sure they can find the correct one.

Filter can may have a replaceable cartridge. Such as I see on TruckID website.

Yes, I think this is an M300 chassis. The label is right under the engine cover. Lift it up to see the engine and to the right passenger side engine wall there is a label showing the chassis information.

I will probably take it into local parts house and see if I can match it up. And, it is NOT a replaceable cartridge....it is a spin off filter like a regular oil filter. Thanks for your help.

If it has Japanese writing then it must not be stock but it is probably common. I'll bet a parts store can match it up.
