Looking for ac/heater control

I have a 1982 southwind motorhome by fleetwood. The ac/heater control is shot. I have looked everywhere for a replacement one or for someone who could rebuild mine. Is there anyone out there that can help me.

Welcome to iRV2

Are you working on the dash A/C heater control , or the coach thermostat for the A/C furnace.

Any chance you could post a picture of what you need?
Info on posting photos is in the " FAQ " drop box in the dark blue bar under the Google search box.

Great question. The dashboard control for the 'automotive' ac/heater control for my 88 fleetwood southwind is also kaput. (Chevy)

I have not given up on it, but it does not work at all. (so many things did not work, I have not gotten to it yet)

I too would be interested in a good source for this type of part.

Most likely a SCS system. These are the same mechanically as those found in Chrysler Products of similar vintage. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/smp-hs102

I tried to send picture. Can't figured out how. Says the file is to big. It's the control for the dash. It has a box on the back of the unit to connect 5 line and 5 vaccuum lines connect to the bottom.

The face of mine has the fan lever and then 2 slider levers for heat and air. The back of the unit has a plastic box with 5 wire hookup on top and has 4 vaccuum lines coming out of the bottom of that box. I can't post picture, says the file is to big.

Sounds like an automotive unit.

Take good photos or if you can get it out you may find manufacturer marks indicating who made it.

Then either dealer, auto zone or wrecking yard.

Rv manufacturers are like Dr. Frankenstein as they collect different parts and combine them to end product.

On a recent trip to pick a part we saw a headlight bezel on the ground that looked like ours...It seemed cc took them from Chevy mid size blazer and cut them to fit...

Sounds like the one in the picture?

A close up view:

A better description would help. LOTS of cars had similar controls back then. Could have come from a lot of places.

Or look here:
"heater controls 1980" Google image search

Anything look like it?

I did get a picture to upload, but only to my profile picture. Don't know if you can see that.

If using real computer Google photo resize and there are some great and free tools that crunch them well.
