Losing power

i have a 1995 vw rialta. i was driving it across country and all way going great until about 4 day in and there was no power when i stepped on the accelerator, it actually lost power and kept loosing power.

i had the catilitid converter replaced, the serpentine belt replaced, the thermostat replaced...still no luck.

has anyone had this experience?

Replace the fuel filter. If clogged, not enough fuel can get through.

X2. Start by checking for...
Fuel (is your engine starved for gasoline?)
Air (air filter plugged, is anything blocking your fresh air intake?)
Fire (ignition components failing?)

Fuel system is your most likely culprit. Don't overlook something obvious like a loose or disconnected accelerator peddle. You don't tell us if it runs fine at idle or not, if it misfires or if it's not running at all. I have to ask... How full is your fuel tank?

I have no idea if you have an electric in-tank or inline fuel pump or if your engine is carburated or fuel injected but I'd suspect it's too new to be old school. Good luck.

MinntoMich gave you the first tips of what to do. When was the spark plugs and wires replaced? They don't last long in a motorhome.
