Lost Water Lines

Greetings all, I have recently acquired a 1993 Fleetwood Bounder. I was told the MH had been sitting for a few years, so any issues I discover is no surprise. One issue I am attempting to address is a water leak. I assume it is cracked from lack of winterizing.

My problem at the moment is I can't find the water lines!!! This is a "basement" model. As expected, the lines aren't routed underneath. But I cannot find access to then. I have removed drawers in cabinets, I have removed the stove and all I find is the floor. What am I doing wrong? Surely there is a way to get to the lines. I have isolated the leak to a 3-4 foot area.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Terry

In my 08 Bounder , the lines ran down the middle of the floor in a chase. If you lift up the floor covering you may see the same set up.

Cliff, thanks for the reply. I'm a bit confused. You said to raise up the floor. I see not means for raising the floor. Unless you are suggesting taking the floor completely out.

If you lift up the linoleum ( or whatever is covering the floor ) you'll find a channel where the water lines run. It will be covered with wood that will need to be removed.

OK, that gives me a place to start. Thanks. Next question, how are the lines routed from the middle to the edge? (sinks, shower etc)

My guess would be the same way ( channels/ chases ) running off to one side or the other to a sink or shower.

OK, I will start tearing out the floor covering and see what I find --- Last question (that's probable a lie, I'm sure I will have many more) --- How do I edit my "signature" in my Profile?

My plumbing drawing from my 1996 Bounder. Mine seem to be fairly close to the outside wall according to the drawing and from where they come thru the floor.
Hope this helps.
Congratulations on the new to you trailer.

1996 would be more likely the same vs my 2008.

I am seeing water dripping from the outer edge. I have no sign of leakage inside the MH. Mine is a 34ft "J" model if that makes a difference.

I guess I am back to where I started. How do I access the lines? If the 96 drawings are correct for my model, that would put the lines buried somewhere under the cabinet housing the sink/stove. Am I going to need to tear that all out?

many cabinets have a fake floor that you can remove and there you will find
pipes wiring ect might have staples

inside the cabinet is a fake floor as you mentioned. However, it is just that -- a fake floor above the floor, nothing there but the duct for the furnace. I can see where the water/drain passes through the fake floor into holes in the floor and disappears. No doubt there is a tunnel/cavity below the floor. My issue is -- how do I access it!!

It appears I must remove the cabinet, but surely this MH wasn't so poorly designed.
Still hunting a solution. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I am still looking for some help!! -- Has anyone ever repaired the water lines on a older Fleetwood? If so, can you tell me how do I access the lines.

Thanks

Not sure if this will help but on my 82 Fleetwood Pace Arrow they water lines all run under the rear bed right along the side of the water tank. Drivers side. I can unscrew the plywood where ones body would lay on the bed. Under is the fresh water tank and water lines. I also have a access door, cuboard door not too sure what you would call it but it opens down and there is more accessibility. I can take pictures if needed.
Happy hunting,
Tim
