Boy are you guys gonna get bombarded with questions from me over the next few months!

Ok, I had the mattress measured and was told its 46" x 74"? this seem like an odd size. A twin is 38 x 74 if memory serves and I think a full is bigger then 46"?

Is he wrong about the width? any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

OK, I kust looked up the standard sizes over at Knox Foam. ( http://www.knoxfoam.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/mattressto...trilux.htm?E+scstore ), and they say standard RV is 60x75, while twin is 38x75. I would take the measurements yourself to be sure they are correct. measure the mattress as well as the platform it is on.

Same size as my MIL. We bought her a custom cut foam mattress from knox foam. Good price and free ship. She loves it. We did a lot of creative thing to spiff up her older c.New curtains and bathroom floor made it look ten years newer.

Standard sizes are:
Crib Baby bed 28" 52"
Twin Single 39" 75"
Twin X-Long Extra Long Single 39" 80"
Double Full 54" 75"
Queen Queen 60" 80"
Standard or Eastern King King 76"-78"
(widest) 80"
California King Western King 72" 84" (longest)

Note that queen in a MH is generally a "short queen". They have the proper width, but shave the length down to 74".
Evidently they cut down the width on this one also, or is it the fold down couch that turns into a bed??

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't they make a super twin? Something around 48X78 or something like that? i don't know about the rv's but I made ours a rv queen and then made a hope chest at the foot of the bed for dw.

Mike trust me,we went crazy trying to find a real mattress. We ordered a 46x74,Knox foam makes a great stiff foam mattress that can be shipped(free).Just look under customized foam.

I'm not overly concerned about a "traditonal" mattress. I spent 9.5 years in the navy and slept on a foam mattress on the ship and slept like a baby. I guess I can also put a twin in there and fill the gap with a piece of covered foam to make a soft shelf along the wall.
