My other Titan looks almost brand new compared to this one.

Here's some more dash board pictures. I'm hoping that old 8 track player still works. That'd be pretty fun.Click image for larger version

413 ~ 440

So basically these carburetors have two primary barrels and two secondary barrels. The primaries are only for when the engine is running at idle speed and low rpm. As you give it gas and bring the vehicle up to speed the secondaries open up and give the engine even more fuel and air that it needs. That linkage that mine was missing is what connects the primary barrels to the secondary barrels. So that's why the motorhome was able to idle with no issues, but as soon as we'd actually try to drive it it would stall.Attachment 259596
Most of the early Dodge M300's had the 413 low compression engine. Latter Dodge used the 440 low compression engine. The larger displacement made up for the low compression on the 413 engine!

A couple days ago I finally got this beast running again! I spent some time and figured out how to wire up a starter button, which is a lot safer then hot-wiring it. But you still have to physically wrap two of the wires together, which would be like turning the key one click to the "on" position. And then to shut off the engine you just pull those wires apart. Eventually I'll install a switch for that, but for now I guess I'm sort of half hot-wiring it. It's so much easier to start now though! And it runs so much better now that I've done a little fixing and adjusting on the carburetor. It will just sit and idle now and I can drive it normally without having to worry as much about it backfiring. I did have to figure out a way to get the choke to work though, because it did not want to start with the choke wide open, especially since it was so cold outside. So after shoving a piece of metal in there to get to stay closed it fired right up.
Also, with moving around all the vehicles yesterday, I finally managed to get the picture I've always wanted of my two Titans right next to each other.Click image for larger version

Those split rims on the early 70's Dodge truck chassis can often be replaced by Ford rims. That is what I did on my 1972 Dodge D200 3/4 ton pickup.

I remember when these were new; didn't they have the same basic vehicle with three trim levels; Titan, Champion and ?

A quick google search found this, but no mention of the different brand names http://www.fundinguniverse.com/compa...s-inc-history/

Well these aren't true split rims. They just have a lock ring, which isn't as dangerous. And I actually manged to find a shop that will work on them when I finally get around to putting new tires on this thing.

Yep. They were Titan, Champion, and Concord. They all had different front end design and trim levels, and the Concords and Champions I think all had overhead bunks, where as in the Titans they didn't add that option until a couple years later. But other than that they were all basically the same vehicle.

Leaving a tarp on the roof of a motorhome for nearly 20 years isn't exactly good.Click image for larger version

There is a 1976 Concord for sale in Wadsworth, IL, listed on FB Marketplace, cheap. Still has the same body design.

This Titan is running really well now, and I'm finally going to do an oil change on. It takes forever to get it started, and I usually have to hold the choke with a small metal pole, but once it's going it'll go strong, and there's no serious issues with it. I even manged to get it started in below freezing weather the other day!
