Good for you!
First things first -
Don’t trust anything made of rubber on the coach, starting with tires, then all coolant/radiator hoses.
Have the VIN number checked to see if it has any recalls that need to be completed - most importantly the brake caliper recall.
If recall has been done, bleed the brakes anyway if it hasn’t been done in the past 2 years and the coach has sat more than it’s been used.
Replace the shocks.
Get a code reader to monitor the engine - I use a FoxWell 301, would recommend the 601. Assuming it’s the 8.1l engine, you need to monitor the Long and Short Fuel Trims as well as the coolant temperature.
A lot of people will recommend a ScanGageII. I bought one, but it doesn’t record data and it’s hard to use. All it does is give you transmission fluid temp, and you can buy an electronic temperature monitor with an alarm function for that.
If you have the Allison 1000 transmission - change the fluid to TranSyn or Allison approved equal (I found the best deal at Summit Racing, don’t remember the brand but it was Allison approved).
Change plugs to 41-101’s, and wires to Magnum’s from Brazel’s.
Check your fuel regulator mounted to the fuel rail - pull the vacuum hose off and check that it’s dry and doesn’t smell of gas. If it does, replace it.
Replace the air filter only with an OEM equivalent - and if what is in it is not OEM, then be very suspect of your MAF (replace only with a new OEM MAF).
And like I said, have FUN!
