Next question Onan Genset

Hi again. My RV has an Onan Emerald 1 Genset. My question is? Is it supposed to run at a set RPM always? I got it running after it sat for 6 years. The unit only has 28 hrs. of original run time. I cleaned the carb and it will start and run. It lopes for awhile. But? Levels out. I will figure that issue out. But? In my experience with other much newer gensets? They idle until power is required. Then they throttle up. But? This one seems to run at the same RPM no matter what is happening. Thanks for the help.

Yes, most RV generators are constant speed design.

Twin boat is correct.
It runs at the same speed just like all AC generators did before the new electronic things that like to blow-up.

Just like a car a heavier load will need more throttle it will grunt more under heavy load to maintain set rpm.
There were very few inverter gennies used.
