Outlet problem

My wife and I just got a 96 damon ultrasport and none of my outlets or microwave doesn't work. My question is..is there a transfer switch on this model and where is it located?

Thanks in advance
Paul

If it has or had a generator then there will be a transfer switch. It is generally where the shore power cord terminates in the electric bay of the rv. Check your main breakers and make sure they are not tripped then look for gfi outlets and make sure they are not tripped.

Somewhere you have a breaker and fuse panel. The breakers will be for 115 volt and the fuses will be 12 volt.

Your main breaker could be off or all of the breakers could be off. Plus you could have a bad main breaker, unlikely, but possible. If nothing changes you can pull the breaker face plate and check for voltage on the buss bars with a meter, not a finger.

Everyone has wife with too many appliances on circuit stories and GFI nightmares. Friend has a 2000 Beaver and one of the GFIs can only be accessed from the basement, middle, tough on an 80 yr old.

Do you have a volt meter? If not, get a cheap one if thats your preference but eventually you will need a volt meter so its a justifiable expense. Follow the main cable into your rig. Check where any boxes are. Thats where the connections will be. Id recommend turning off power when pulling covers off boxes. (I leave them on as Im a mechanical contractor and do a LOT of electrical work) Eventually you will find the problem. Our older MH had a similar issue. Ended up being green corrosion in braided wires in a box where connections were. Too much to type here how to remedy without knowing exactly what your issue is. Yes indeed it could be a panel issue too. Thats why you need that volt meter. Keep us up to date!
