Angry Pacs Inverter

Hi

I have a 1984 Holiday Rambler Imperial 33 ft. I need to upload pics. but that's later, I like to keep things as close to original as possible so far not too hard to do ,new floor covering old rug was smelling bad , counter and back splash ,strip the vainer from the cupboard doors and table , all electrical is working now except my inverter ,thank to watching this site I was able to find the three way switch by the drivers door, my problem is the inverter over charges , the wall plug over the counter is the only plug I can find it powers at all, I have 13 volts dc going into the inverter and 153 volts ac coming out to the plug , has anyone had this problem and if so were you able to correct it. I would also like to find two of these wheel covers with brackets to install them on drive axle, jus so you know I'm 68 and computers aren't my thing.
thanks Fred

Fred,

The good news is that inverters are relatively cheap.

The inverter should have roughly 120VAC coming out with 12-15 VDC in. You converter is charging your batteries. You mentioned over charging.

my inverter has 153 volts coming out and should only be around 120 volts, so I guess I should have said it was over amplifying the voltage , my converter is doing a great job charging batteries

Your meter may be misreading due to the non sinusoidal waveform.

Paws,

Vince's suggestion has a good chance of being correct.
For a cheap test, plug in an incandescent light bulb. If it does not FLASH and burn out, then Vince is right.

What you are seeing is just about right for Peak to Peak as opposed to RMS.
