Please help: Roof coating type

These are a couple pictures of my RV's roof, 1983 Pace Arrow.

It does leak, it leaks fairly slowly but it is obvious that it's still pretty bad. A lot of it is around the seams of the ac/vents/etc.

I believe it is a fiberglass roof cover, but I'm not sure what the coating on top that is cracking and wearing away is.

Can anyone advise me on this? Finding information on roof types and how to care for them/strip them and start over is hard to come by. I have started peeling the caulking/lap sealant and I have put down a silicone-based caulking to reseal the edges around the roof.

Thanks!

Looks like they used asphalt based mobile home roof coating on it at some point, unfortunately that stuff is not really flexible enough for an RV. Not sure about the best way to get it off. Anywhere you have a joint or item through the roof needs to be cleaned and resealed every few years.

My husband and I just purchased a 1986 Holiday Rambler. We had leaks throughout the bus. My husband scraped the old flaking coatings off carefully to reveal the original material. He used butyl rubber tape under all roof mounted items to seal them. He used a seam sealer tape made for our roofing material to seal the seam and end caps. Make sure you clean all surfaces exactly like the instructions say to insure best results. Most paint on products are not for diy. The dry time is so long, without a cover over the RV, the dew will make it flake off.
