I just bought a 1988 Tiffin Allegro that looks very much like that! We're working on getting her running again. I'd post a picture but I don't see an upload file button on the message editing bar.

I looked at a free for the taking Travco. I think it is a 1978. I think the license plate sticker had 1983 on it. The owner said he had the top end rebuilt and headers added. I think the engine is a Dodge 440 cubic inch engine. If it didn't need so much work, I would like to have it up and rolling. The revived ones are really beautiful.

Wow, Nice...
I have worked on many Cat 3208s and they are pretty much bullet proof(if maintained correctly) but not very powerful compared to today's Engines. Parts are still plentiful.

It looks like that Southwind has two AC units though. Get Betty's back end lifted back into shape and she will look good. You can enjoy a lot of RVing with her. Sometimes old is better.

This is my 1985 GMC G3500 Vanguard. Next year I'm making it a skeleton. Installing new siding and roof. And spray foaming it for the Canadian winters. Lots of other upgrades as well but I'll share that later!

The 85 looks good R0ughhab1tz. While you are rebuilding the coach would be a good time to replace the distributor with an electronic one and never worry about replacing or adjusting the points again.

I think my distributor is electronic? It has a wire harness. I replaced it last year barely ran 1000km. I've done a bunch of engine work on it already. When I traded it for my car it was in rough shape.

next year I'm redoing the entire engine. I'm going to install a holley sniper quadrajet EFI system with the hyperspark distributor. I might even buy the front engine package they supply. Only issue is my clutch fan.

With holleys systems if you get the hyperspark distributor they connect together for full control of timing etc. I was going to leave the stock HEI on because they say you can run without the extras but I think for better control and less headaches down the road I'll be switching.
