I owned a '94 Bounder with tripod Power Gear jacks. Liked them as they were easy to fix. Here's my
ad free blog postings about the problems I had with them. I even had fun modifying the circuit board to add an indicator lamp.
'Letting the jacks down'? Are yours the folding kind? I'm familiar with Power Gear hydraulic jacks that use the pump and fluid to
push the jack ram to the ground and thus lift the RV. There are some newer systems that use the pump to pull them back up too. Many others use a spring like both my Power Gear and HWH systems to pull the jacks back up and those use a single hydraulic solenoid to relieve pressure to the jacks all at once. The weight of the RV starts pushing fluid back into the tank while the springs are pulling the jacks up the final few inches after the RV weight lessens.
Those you can test the solenoid by applying 12 volts to the coil with jumper leads, or just measure the solenoid with an ohmmeter. It's usually mounted apart from the 'Down' solenoids.
I don't follow this: "If you cross out the silanoid out"
