Very Productive weekend ! The outside back wall is back on , with fresh insulation behind the bathroom shower area . All corner trim is back in place and everything is sealed. The rotted roof beams have been replaced, and with the new 1/2 " plywood under the aluminum roof it's strong enough to walk on now! Then we started building the new Kitchen Counter back to what I think is the original L shape.

Ken, I recently purchased a 1987 Mallard very similar to yours. I thought repairing the top bunk area was a huge task. Man, you are fearless. Thanks for all the info and pics. If you need any pics of my interior, just ask. It looks like even the wall covering is the same as mine. We're using it for the first time tomorrow. Ron from NH

If you could interior pics would be great the guess work is the hardest part. The dinette area cabinets, kitchen area , anything you can give me this thing was striped when I bought it. It would be easier with something to guide me. I have cabinet doors but no cabinets.
I would beg tearful for anything you could post.

Thanks , Ken

Ron you are the man. That is a nice clean looking rig you have there.
I'm even a little jealous of that bathroom window you have.

By the way, Ken. Right below the sink on the front piece is the monitor panel for the various tanks, including propane and a battery condition light,

I would think that starting with a clean slate such as you are you might want to put some things where you'd like to have them.

Don't get me wrong it is not exactly going back together the way it was but I am limited in my changes by the location of the hot water heater furnace and fridge compartments. If I was doing what I would love to do ( if money was no issue) I would replace the outside skin with smooth Filon.
Then the outside vents and access panels could go where ever I want them. The inside of my Ride will only look similar to another Mallard by the floor plan and the Bathroom.
