Have any of you ever replaced your dash panel? The one in our 1989 Chieftain is cracked and I was hoping to replace it.

First off, Welcome to the forum roadmuffin!! As to the question, need more info as to what material and if it just needs covering or totally rebuilt?? A Lot of people have recovered theres but off hand i don't remember anyone replacing theres. Sounds like an interesting project! Hope someone can really have a answer for you. Hang in there and we will look forward to your adventures.
Good luck and welcome,

Thank you for your reply. I am talking about the plastic panel that has all of the switches and controls on it. It screws onto the front of the dash. I was wondering if it was a part that could be taken off and replaced and how I would find that particular part.

Ok, I understand. On mine, They used plastic wood grain over plywood and screwed it to the dash. You could use wood grains or vinyls or black plastic or ??? get creative!! Enjoy, Its your home, Personalize!!!
