Roof Air Lower Unit Question

Hi, everyone. I am looking into replacing the lower non-ducted ac unit on my 1978 Holiday Rambler Class C. The knobs no longer turn as freely as they once did. Currently, it has a Coleman Mach I unit that MAY be the original. It seems to turn on so before I replace the entire unit, I need to determine if it is even necessary. My question is, will current lower units fit? Thanks, in advance.
