Silly Newbie questions....

Moderator, if I posted in wrong location, my apologies, please move...

OK, so my wife & I just bought a 1985 Sunline 13 1/2 camper. I don't know if 1985 qualifies as vintage yet or just old...
I don't have any photo's yet, it's not even home. Hopefully in the next week or two.
I think it may need new walls due to water damage but the floors are solid as a rock.
The stock weight of the trailer is about 1500lbs.
Now, here are my (silly?) questions....
1. If it does need new walls, could I just replace the current thin wall frames with solid walls made out of 1/2 or 3/8th plywood?
2. Would solid plywood ruin the CG and make it susceptible to tipping?
3.It has 13" tires. If I did the axle swap and put on 14" tires, would that mitigate or increase a tipping/high CG problem?
4. I'll be towing with a 4Runner with the full tow package. I don't think the extra weight of the plywood will be an issue.
Any help/suggestions or advice is sincerely appreciated!

I would say that you should trust the original engineer's design and try to keep the CG as low as possible when you make improvements. The materials they used back then have been improved on a bit over the years so you can improve things by using similar, but I wouldn't go with plywood that's thicker then the original material.

But I'm only going on what I've read.
