Sleeping beauty making progress!!

Well, lots has happened!! I found an a/c unit at a salvage yard $75. My neighbor owns an a/c co. and is checking it for me prior to roof install. Man I'm cheap!!!! I have also installed the new roof vents, went cheap side on those too $50 a pop, no fan with them. I rebuilt the center opening and braced for the a/c unit. Again the rivet gun came in real handy!! Here are a few pics. will get the a/c pics shortly.
I also bought some flooring this weekend in Oklahoma City. Gave up on the vinyl self stick tiles and went with a sheet vinyl called flexitech. A little pricey but is very durable. Will get those pics soon as well.
Busy, busy, busy!!!

Out with the old and in with the new!!

Sorry the self-stick did not work out. about the same as my experience with them. Unless you spend big bucks on the roof vents with fans all you will get is a noisy and annoying fan, so your choice was probably good. I do recommend the covers that you install over the vents though. They prevent the wind and sun from damaging them, along with any stray branches.

If your friend can check the start-up draw on the a/c unit (he should be able to) this will help you if you decide to power it with a generator as you will know how large a generator to buy. Some units draw almost double on startup as when running.

The MaxxAir vent covers are great. They allow you to have the vent open for air circulation even it it's raining. And they come in a slew of colors (link shows white, but you can check RVupgrades for other colors available, although white would probably look best on yours.

There is great need for a sarcasm font.
