Small Pickup RVs

generally, i'm interested in small pickup RVs, like the the Toyota Chinook Newport from the 70s/80s (not one-off custom rigs). a must is being able to go from the camper to the cab (sorry i don't know the lingo). i've not been able to find a name or photo of what in my memory is something like the Toyota Chinook only even smaller, from the 70s or 80s, perhaps named something like "snail" - any idea what i'm remembering?!

We had a 1988 Toyota Dolphin, 21ft micromini. Loved it.. Got 15 mpg, we drove it to Alaska and back.

Use caution if you're looking at these. Particularly the dullie wheels. It MUST have the official Toyota dullies. I think anything after 1987 will have the official dullies, earlier models had fake dullies.

Welcome to the forum. There a lot of fans of the Toyota Dolphin RVs. They were unique especially in the great gas mileage. But, you had to pack a lunch when driving up a long hill. However, they would eventually get to the top and keep on going.

Thanks!

Thanks for your posts about the Toyota Micromini! If I were to get a full rv (with shower/toilet) that’s definitely the one.

Are there other small pickup rv (integrated cab access) without toilet/shower (like 70s chinook/hiluxe/Newport) but even smaller? I have this image in my head of a very small one from the 80s.
