Starting problems

Bought an 84 Fleetwood Jamboree that needed a fuel pump and had someone install one for me but still won't start. I can start it by adding gas to the carburetor but obviously when the gas burns off it shuts off. Checked the fuel lines and gas is getting to the pump but doesn't seem to be going any further. Any ideas what's wrong? Would appreciate feed back

Have you loosened the outlet at the fuel pump? The Quadrajet carb has an inlet fuel filter . Did you change it?

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Congrats on the new rig! I'm no mechanic but I bet someone will be able to figure out the problem. Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Have you checked oil sender unit, do you have a fuel shut off sensor that might have tripped? How about fuel filters have you replaced them? Just putting some thing's out there. Try disconnecting your fuel line put it in a can or bottle then try and see if fuel is flowing before and after the filter's>
