Stevie(Fixed) a 1997 junker that I love

Bought a used travel trailer in January and I feel like a total chump, because if I had done my research I would have spotted dozens of tell-tail signs that this one was a junker.

But I own her now, so I named her Stevie(Fixed) and I gutted the entire back third, replaced a good section of underbelly, relaminated huge sections of the fiberglass, tore out the dinette, built myself some custom cabinets, a compost toilet and a desk. And today
I glued down my new EPDM membrane. I’m tired. I’m pretty sure Stevie(Fixed) wasn’t worth all this work, but now that I’ve done it, I’m proud. She will be my home for the next year or two while I save up some money.

For five years I lived in a tiny house that I built and I thought an RV would be similar. I know, I know, I am naive. I like learning new things, but this is a LOT of new things.

This trailer isn’t for travel, but she does tow like a dream, so at least there’s some option there in the future.

I’m adding some photos, if anyone is interested.

Looking good ... but be warned , if you keep posting before and after photos like this , there'll be a line up of people trying to hire you.

That wouldn’t bother me one bit. I run a restaurant as a day job, but I’ve been thinking about a change of careers.

Nice work! I'm doing a complete renovation on an older motor home. I know the kind of determination it takes to get through the challenges of a system that wasn't the greatest from the factory.
Having them torn down like that gives you the understanding to be able to improve the way it's built.

Enjoy the fruits of your labor!

There’s something about the doing that passes understanding.

It’s that good.

And it looks like you’ve discovered that.

Great work.

Hi! What does Stevie look like on the outside? Those interior photos tell me that Stevie most likely has good bones!
