Good morning all!
I have just bought a 95 Georgie Boy Maverick (24') with a Kohler Confidant 4 generator in it. It doesn't have a battery but on inspecting the battery box area I found a third cable(black in color). I traced it back to the generator box but don't know where it goes after that. My question is does this cable attach to the positive (+) or negative (-) post of the battery.
thanks in advance for your help!

A quick check with your ohmeter should tell you.
Sounds like it's the positive feed to the starter of your genset.
Happy Glamping.

As a followup to the previous post I did check out the cable as suggested and it turned out to be the generator hot wire. Hooked it up and the generator turned right over. Thanks again for the suggestion, don't know where my head was...LOL
Sometimes, tracing out the systems of these older RVs gets to be a test of your patience. Especially if you don't get or can't find copies of manuals or wiring.
