substituting tanks

Has any one here replaced there old on board propane tank with a fork lift style tank?
I'm thinking this would make things easier when it comes to filling it.

The ones onboard are designed specifically for use on an RV/Auto and are built to the ASME standards, which means they're actually built tougher than the portable cylinders used, as they're meant to deal with the potential of a collision.

Also be aware forklift tanks tend to be liquid extraction tanks vs rv tanks being vapor extraction.
