bap,

Don't know where you are located but go to Atkins RV website and look at some of their old rigs. They are located in Flint, MI and I was there recently looking at a Newmar and they have some old rigs there. Some work needed but they don't hide anything.

Good luck to all of you who are looking for and redoing older rigs.

I don't know if it's so much as people being dishonest, as it is one man's "pretty good shape" won't be the same as someone who is a veteran RV owner.
The fact is, a lot of people don't know what is acceptable "wear and tear" and what is actual damage to the unit.

CL can have some good deals on it if you are careful, but if the poster can't be bothered to put up some recent pics, I don't even click on the ad.

i agree some are just that,,,,funny i was just talking about how some people live,,,ive seen people living in what i could never feel be comfterble in and they dont see it the way i see it they think its fine,,,ive owned rental units and seen alot in the past 13yrs or so...so ive seen alot about how people see there stuff...
its the other people that no they have an old rv and know the problems but try and play it out.....not tell the truth, and hope noone notices or the ones that well im already here and drove 100miles and go ahead and take it anyway..

and i have responded to the peace sign adds,,lol...and found some desent stuff, some cant post on cl but can text pix,,,,.....but i would not go very far at all unless i saw pix,and i always look in the background to see what else is around the area...
if it look like a decent area then thats a plus....of course visa versa,,,,
