Took the 96 Minnie out for first time this year.....

Been hectic year catching up on long over due home projects.. Annual Event with my offroad motorcycle club, a week boondocking.. on 4000 acres in PA.

Short trip about 114 miles from country house each way.. took 17.8 gallon towing .. to get there.. 19.1 gallon on way back , no trailer.. but ran AC with ONAN 4000 for 8 hours.. figure that ate 4 gal +..
50/50 country roads and interstate. 6.5ish towing ( I was heavy 17k+ total) . way back was solo 12k or so.. figured 8mpg to home.. New shocks (KYB) felt great ...

My AC 15K is cranky, when she cycles compressor it knocked my 3500 clone and honda 3000 out a few times so I used onan,, it stalled it once,, URGH. my watt monitor recorded 31.7 amps for 3.1 sec,, breaker held but onan stalled..
Something else to work on...

I had installed 4 Leveling / stabilizing jacks.. I have a post in c class. Best thing I did.. Pulled on blocks, a few cranks/inches up on each. level and solid..

I had added a fan in back of fridge to blow out on top of roof vent, set it on a snap switch on coils.. Ran it on propane , had to set it back to half way as my ice tea froze.. Fan helped alot..

Last years updates to exhaust worked, no cat, 3" stainless..hi flow.. KN air filter, TPS adjust. larger custom Alum Rad, severe duty clutch fan....
All made huge difference.. Did 2 long pull hill (10min / 14min), to the floor, held 55-60,, temps 207 max, trans 183.. Sweet.used scan tool and seperate trans guage.

I am wacky about stuff towing...

Was a great few days.. heading out Oct 3 ... next adventure... should be cooler maybe i can nurse AC.. LOL

thanks, i would but being 24 years old, i think the compressor is tired..

I have a hot start and it helped all last year and up until this late summer, now it is acting up..

I have another RV, i sold today, the AC was built 10/92.. It is an 11K low profile and works all day on a 2200watt genny... go figure.. but this unit had 180K+ on Rv well exercised, by 96 has 20K and think sitting is worse on stuff, I had to fix onan becasue it lost spark at less than 112 hours but 24 years old..

Dang RV;s/// gotta lovem..
