Hi Popeye, there's a full schedule this weekend, but it's cold and rain predicted, so we're kinda in a holding pattern, which means we get ready but ......... keep checking the tracks websites.

Usually when I had shows cancelled we just stayed home and no pay or another show , so sounds good !

37* here and still raining this morning, the weather guessers are saying it'll clear up by noon, but the temps are staying cold, then rain again tomorrow. Not sure if they'll be able to get the track prepped in time for tonight's run, it will be a heavy track for sure. Popeye they pay show up money IF you take the green flag in the feature race, depends on the track how much, of course if you finish in top percentage it's more.

Well we are loading up for Fonda speedway tonight, it has stopped raining and there looks to be a window of dry weather.

Thanks all! Lloyd, I started the coal furnace! It's been running for the last 3 days here, LOL. Fonda was what we expected with all the rain the track was heavy hot laps Andy flat footed it all the way around, so we changed gears and put a new right rear tire on for the heat race, he started front row outside, the car on the inside pushed him almost to the wall on the start and he got passed by almost the whole pack, once that got sorted out he worked his way back to third, the track started to break up with all the heat races, it got extremely rough, lots of major accidents a couple of red flag events in other heats, (modified especially) they had to cradle a few in on the wreckers. Andy started outside pole again in the feature, we had the setup perfect and this was conditions rhat Andy likes, (except the extremely rough part) he was leading with a pretty good lead when his right lower control arm broke, luckily it stayed together and he was able to get out of the way and drive it into the pits, (and into the trailer) so a DNF last night, tonite doesn't look good for the weather but you never know.

Lonesome, figured that cost us about 1000.00 last night, LOL . Plus I didn't mention that the exhaust broke in the heat race so we needed to replace the entire exhaust, (400.00) later, LOL picture with the circles are the lower control arm, those two pieces should be attached!Click image for larger version

By looking at the picture you can see the relationship between the control arm and the track, and what happens if the arm had completely failed, more than likely it would have flipped the car. We found out last night this particular control arm has caused 3 cars to do exactly that, our arm only had three runs on it and it failed, so apparently the builder didn't do something right.Click image for larger version
