Chargerman, nope not critical just don't see the whole picture, the shocks are actually 3 inches Longer than I had, and over the travel that I need to compress, (shock boot is misleading), remember this has stock springs so travel IS limited, my intention was not to build a long travel rock crawler, probably 80% of the time it'll be used as a grocery getter, my wife loves to take nature pictures so we'll be able to go off the beaten path comfortably, if you noticed I installed a 11/8th sway bar, that also limits the axle movements, right now it handles like a short corvette that'll go off road, LOL. The main reason I trussed the axles was to stiffen and eliminate any problems from a 358 stroker and possible heavy foot. Hopefully I addressed your thoughts.

I did find the weak point on my CJ was the driveshaft yoke when my son egged me into during a burnout with 33” tires. [emoji849]

Hi Terry,

New to the site, new to this thread. Not new to RVing though. Casually browsed through 223 pages over the last few days. All I can say is wow. You did an absolutely amazing job on this, you should be super proud of it. Want to come do my motorhome next? Lol!

Matthew

That’s great! You certainly have the skill for remodeling RVs. If I attempted what you did I don’t think it would end well.

Hahaha - I consider myself handy and do most of my RV repairs myself. But a whole remodel sounds overwhelming. But then again I also work 40 or more hours a week too. If I was retired perhaps…

Well we were running out of projects............ Not! But we do have to maintain a certain level of standby projects just in case. Sooo, we bought this little jem today. A 1977 Sunliner, 10 fter, fully self contained, only weighs 1300 lbs, it's to pull behind the Jeep locally, something we can go and drop and then not worry like if we had a tent ect. So it's in very good shape buuut you know we won't be leaving it alone, LOL so stay tuned, (this will fit inside my shop)
