We had an extra crew member last night at Utica Rome speedway, Bobby rode along and gave a hand!

Terry I saw Fonda wasn't too kind last weekend. There are nights like that.
While looking for your results I stumbled upon one YouTube video taken at the track I used to run in Ca. It was a couple of years later with some of the same cars. Video quality was the worst, hand held in the stands and every time you finally got a car in focus fool in front would stand up
I hope all is well.

Hi Harv, this was a up and down kinda weekend, Andy had an 8th, 10th and a 3rd place finish, Utica was a good run until a lap car decided to run up and cut a left front tire and as Andy got by he came down and cut the right rear tire, LOL, quick tire change, but it put him a half lap down, did get by a few cars but ran out of time, Fonda has some track prep issues, no one is happy with the promoters, so car setup was extremely critical, dry slick all night, two cars kinda dominated in our class, a lot of very fast cars were not going anywhere, I was good in my heat for 4 laps, I was up to third after starting tailgate, then someone flipped a switch and I was driving a dump truck, LOL tight as all get out coming out of 4 especially and that's the last turn to be pushing in, we did some changes for the feature and it was not good, so we got out of the way to run another day, plus this car goes to Glenridge the next day with andy behind the wheel, well more changes and it was one evil mistress, every turn every lap she did something different, tight, loose, some combination of both, LOL. Andy hung on to and salvaged a 3rd, so I think he's still second in points. We are pretty sure at this point the rear springs have given up, causing all this craziness, so new springs going in this week.

Terry,
Sounds like something in the suspension is moving when it is not supposed to, like the lower control arms did. Or the frame is flexing at a suspension pickup point. Just another idea.

Hi Frank, frame is solid and the front a arms are good, the rear springs are on sliders, (see pic), these allow the springs to slide down and forward, the springs themselves are special race only that we get in different spring rates, the big thing is they will go away without warning, and give some crazy actions. We've had them last a season or go away in 7 races, kinda depends on track conditions, we've had some really rough tracks lately so these are getting replaced, it's time anyway, LOL

Well today is Utica Rome speedway, getting ready, might have some big changes coming car wise, still under discussion. We're possibly dropping Fonda speedway for weekly shows and just running the different series that show there. This Saturday we're pulling the 2008 crate engine, (it's tired) out of the purple car, and replacing with the new one from the black car, as I said possible changes coming, LOL

Well good luck at the Storied Utica Rome speedway.

Looks like fun.
