Rock slider looks good! Want pictures of how mine mount? I have Rugged Ridge sliders and they seem to laugh at the rocks.
I would love a 4 wheel e brake. Hear stories of people winching and braking their transmission park function. Low range park gives a lot of mechanical advantage to the wheels when winching. A line lock would be great,,,,,, however my JK has all kinds of electrical challenges to messing with the brakes. I have someone sit in the Jeep with their foot on the brake.

Neet part about all this is a lot of these parts are parts I've dealt with on race cars and other projects, it's a fun deal, I should end up with a good system, another thing is the e brake, I have ideas for that too, LOL

When I did the rear brake conversion from drums to disc on my old motorhome, I just got rid of the proportioning valve completely. One of the functions of the proportioning valve is to prevent the rear from locking up before the front in a panic stop. The only problem with this, is it presents a small delay before you get full braking. Without it, the stopping distance was dramatically shortened.

Hi Dave, your correct in some ways, except there's no "delay" in the application of rear brake, but there is a reduction in pressure, you probably don't notice in a heavier and longer MH but in a short lighter vehicle the sudden application of rear brake would make for the rear end trying to swap ends with the front, LOL a most disconcerting event!

So when I did the swap, I originally left the proportioning valve in. But when I removed the proportioning valve, there was a huge change in brake reaction time. So I had a direct comparison. It was very noticeable.

Dave, not arguing the fact that you noticed a big difference, but when you left your drum brake master it was not set up to use disc, without going into all the numbers there is huge difference into what pressures drum to disc needs, we actually deal with brake setups here on a weekly bases with race cars, we've setup quite a few brake systems, one thing I know is you have to know what's up or you create a very dangerous situation, (not saying you did, just saying).

I won't deny that it may be a necessary evil in a car or short wheelbase vehicle. A motorhome will be nearly impossible to swap ends at any kind of speed - and yes we've tried it in the snow in a previous life.
So ya, its bad to lock up the rear end first. But one thing I am unclear about is why a properly setup system has to have an extra valve to prevent it.

Dave, it's not an extra valve, (in my system) it's the valve to limit the pressure to the rear brakes, the master cylinder in a 4 wheel disc produces the same pressure so it can be dialed in. And actually I have locked up the rear brakes on a bobtail semi on wet roads and put it sideways, ask Rail, LOL.
