Popeye, you were the best tour guide, we could ever have had! You made our two weeks, fly by, and we had the best time ever! We got to see some of the hidden treasures that most don't know about, and we just scratched the surface, I'm sure! So a second M&G to Maine would be great!
Popeye, glad to call you my friend! Rail!

Same here Rail.

Recalculating ..............
It wasn't just me ! You all made it fun !
(I think Eleanor and Deb planned some of it too..)
I never would have made it to a M&G if you hadn't come HERE !

I'm sure all the other M&Gs were just as good !

Oh AYUH !

C'mon BACK

Hey Popeye,

We’re headed up to Fryeburg for next week with a few others. Not sure where your M&G was but can you recommend some good things to check out in the Fryeburg area?

Thanks!

Stop at Bob's Seafood on the right of 302 in North Windham on the way in. A little further on the left is Seacoast fun park ,Then in Naples.....the Queen.
Bridgeton Downtown : Reny's , The Corn Palace + +
There's a good roadside veggie stand out that way someplace too.

The N.Conway RR , go on the notch trip.

The Cog is awesome but get there early , sometimes the steam loco only climbs once , then you get the diesel !!!

Don't let the Wildman get ya at Clark's.

If there are any small grandkids , Storyland is a must.

If that don't keep ya busy for a week , you 'ain't tryin'

Once you leave Portland , there won't be any more city........

But the Casco Bay Ferry is there
https://www.cascobaylines.com/maine-...ialty-cruises/ (don't park in the garage !!!!!)

If ya go to Freeport take exit 17 and go in on Rt1 Day's seafood on the right after the Ford dealership OH AYUH , Yup Yup Yummmmmm , stop at the FBI ? next. You'll see him at the top of the next hill on the right just after the light..... Haraseekett Lunch on S. Freeport Harbor is my second recc for dining !
Then,,,look for Wilbur's and take a tour !

Careful in downtown F-port. You will have endless reasons to empty your wallet Guess that goes for N. Conway too (and no state sales tax there !)

Y'll be a little early for the Fryeburg Fair so.....
Take the "Kinkymangy" to Clark's and go clockwise from there ?

If you're into beer , there are a thousand breweries layin' around everywhere !

I looked at your profile to see where ya might be comin' from Chargerman.....now I just have to ask,,,,,Is there a Polo Island nearby ??

Thanks so much Popeye!!!! The Polo island is missing in action. That’s a good one!! We will dig into your recommendations tonight and tomorrow prior to heading up there.

I really appreciate the time you took to put this together for us!

Lloyd, yup that was a great time for sure, Popeye's the best! Been off grid since Thursday, no service can be the best, LOL. We are a state land free campsite, (there was 13 at this location) half mile or so apart, right on a wide creek, in Wells, NY no power, septic ect just like we like it. Jeep and trailer did great for it's first outing, now we know what to do for rehab, LOL Click image for larger version

When I lived out on the farm, when we would go camping, we called it "forced relaxation"! If at home, there was always something that needed done!

Great looking spot! Rail!

Nice Terry, glad that you had a good time. Too bad that you cant bring the trailer to Yums. It would be nicer than a tent for our csmpouts.
