uninstalling old electronics?

I’m about to begin on installing the roof-mounted electronics from our new-to-us 1995 Monaco Dynasty - hand-crank satellite tracker, OTA TV / cb / radio antennas - so i can refresh & seal our fiberglas roof.

my question is this:

when i uninstall the electronic components - cb & radio - must i trace and remove the power wiring at that time or may i just cap the power connection for the time being and return to it later.(i’m thinking i’ll locate / pull the fuse for each.)

thanks in advance for any and all feedback.

The short answer is yes, you can just cap off the power wires.

On the other hand, if you want to be sure they never rattle, you could remove them at the fuse. Personally I would not take the time to do that unless they are loose and you hear them flopping when you drive. Usually they are held with wire tires when the coach is built.

The coaxal cable to the roof antenna(s) would be the most likely rattle if just cut. I recommend driving the coach before you go to too much trouble. You can always pull them out later.
