VIN # assistance

Good morning all. I was hoping I could find out if there is a way to run a VIN# so I can get more details on a newly purchased 1983 Holiday Rambler. Also, is there somewhere I can find an owners manual for that? I'm getting conflicting information as to whether it is an Aluma-Lite. Doesn't seem to have an aluminum frame. Any help would be great. If there is another forum geeking about about this particular trailer, please advise.

Monaco went bankrupt in 2008 and they produced both Holiday Rambler and McKenzie products. Some of the best in the industry. Lots of background information was not maintained.

All HR products utilized aluminum frames
Alumilite and Monitor were more their entry level trailers. Holiday Rambler was the upper line. The difference was trim and options.
Yes, Monitor was exactly the same as an Alumilite except colors. Monitors had a tan exterior and different interior color schemes. They were excellent trailers for their day.
Manuals are totally worthless and not worth your time or effort searching for one. Due to the age of appliances its highly doubtful you will find them online either.
Your best bet is to ask your questions here. Maybe someone will remember that far back.
BTW, if it was an Alumilite it will say so on the front and back. Holiday Ramblers had a large round circle with HD in it. If I remember correctly the circle was on the upper street side front and rear corners
